My Father
by Romério Rômulo
I was never
Just a son of a mother.
The houses I lived in had
More people: my father,
An open hand
That loved me in silence.
Romério Rômulo (poet and writer) was born in Felixlândia, Minas Gerais, and lives in Ouro Preto, where he is a professor of Political Economy at UFOP and one of the founders of the Cultural Institute Carlos Scliar – Rio de Janeiro RJ.
