During the National Industry Meeting (Enai) 2024, Sebrae President Décio Lima discussed the results of the Brazil More Productive Program. He highlighted that the initiative aims to include small businesses in socio-economic development and promote innovation to improve competitiveness.

According to Décio Lima, Sebrae has already reached 44,000 companies through the program and plans to serve 200,000 transformation industries. He emphasized that the goal is to connect small businesses to a global and more sustainable economy.

In addition, he stated that Sebrae is committed to generating results that help small businesses innovate in their processes. “We are transforming companies and expanding their growth potential,” he said.

Credit expands reach of small businesses

Regarding credit, Décio Lima highlighted the role of the Acredita Program, a federal government initiative, in supporting small industries. The program, which includes the Fund for Guaranteeing Micro and Small Enterprises (Fampe), has already guaranteed R$ 30 billion in loans.

He explained that, before the program, 88% of small businesses faced difficulties in obtaining credit due to lack of guarantees. Now, with the changes implemented, these companies have access to resources to grow and develop.

Décio also emphasized that this expansion in access to credit is essential for scaling up the process of neo-industrialization in Brazil. “We are creating opportunities for small industries to reach new heights,” he said.

Partnership supports internationalization of small businesses

Another point highlighted was the partnership between Sebrae and ApexBrasil, which is promoting the internationalization of small businesses. Décio Lima emphasized that globalization should include smaller entrepreneurs, connecting them to international markets.

According to him, Sebrae has been working to ensure that these businesses participate in the opening of new markets. “The goal is to ensure that the small entrepreneur has access to global trade opportunities,” he said.

Leaders discuss the future of Brazilian industry

In addition to Décio Lima, the panel included representatives from other relevant institutions for the industry. Among the attendees were Rafael Lucchesi, from CNI and Sesi; Celso Pansera, from Finep; José Luis Pinho Leite Gordon, from BNDES; and Wagner Alencar, from Banco do Nordeste.

During the discussions, the participants shared initiatives that can contribute to the strengthening of the industry and reducing costs in the sector.

Enai 2024 proposes a new vision for industry

The National Industry Meeting (Enai) 2024, promoted by CNI, addressed the theme “Neoindustrialization and reducing the Cost of Brazil”. The event brought discussions on how to prepare the industrial sector for the challenges of the 21st century.

In addition, topics such as Industry 4.0, digitalization, and automation were debated, always focusing on innovation and sustainability. The goal was to present a new perspective for Brazilian industry, aligned with global demands and capable of ensuring long-term prosperity.
